Sadness

Sadness creeps in like a thief in the night
Stealing the joy that was once so bright
It wraps you up, a crushing weight
Making even simple tasks hard to contemplate

It's a heavy fog that clouds the mind
it makes my path blind
Leaving the heart feeling confined
No matter how hard you try to cheer
Sadness clings to you, drawing near

It's a storm that rages within
A battle you can't seem to win
Tears fall like rain, but the pain remains
An unrelenting ache that causes strains

But even in the midst of despair
There's always a glimmer of hope in the air
A ray of sun that breaks through the clouds
A silver lining waiting to be found

So even when badness and vast sadness is here to stay
Remember that it will eventually fade away
Allow yourself time to grieve and heal
And know that happiness will once again steal the wheel.
