Nobody But You

Nancy Rodriquez 1965 (Temple)

Nobody But You
By Nancy Rodriquez

My heart is inconsolable these days.
I want nobody but you,
As much as my sorrow gives way,
in remembering the things we used to do,
It was a blind trust I had in you,
and I fell hard into our romance,
before we knew it, our love was in full bloom,
until the Devil stormed in on our dance,
and every dream became a nightmare instead,
My life was as if Heaven came down each day,
when you first invited me to stay,
I felt loved and embraced,
You were the only thing I craved,
I know the mistakes I  made,
quickened the demise of us,
you must share in the blame,
and search your soul to give me the chance to earn
back your trust,
Nobody but you could do in my life.
