All my insecurities on display

Trying to pretend it’s cool
But is really not okay
All I can think about is school
Will I make it one day?

High school what have you done
Putting so much pressure on being perfect
But why can’t I be perfectly imperfect?

It’s not going to matter in 6 years
Whether I got straight a’s or had a b
After all my worries and fears
I want to look back smiling and say see?

It’s hard to keep going
When all they do is yell
Trying my best but it’s not showing
Can they even tell?
