When Love Is Not Enough

After what  we  have been through,
and we both share in the blame,
No matter what we say or do,
the results remain the same,
You refuse to meet me in the middle,
and you will not give me the time of day,
I could wait for the cows to come home with a play on
the fiddle,
or for the heavens to be opened and on display,
before you would give even one inch,
of listening to my pleas of woe,
you chose to run away instead,
as far as you could go,
and have the nerve to tell me I made my bed,
there is no rest for the weary,
and no comfort seems to be in sight,
our relationship is empty,
and in conclusion, when love is not enough, I
still choose to fight, despite me.
