Nightmare
Kerjean Rithal 2004 (Victoria hospital carries , st lucia)
Reminiscing the after-hours of the night
In a dark room filled with terrors from a blight
A hollow space where you can hear things that are not there
Comparing them to fights which are somewhere
Deep breathes, sweaty limbs, and wide eyes searched
Around for something to hold
Clinging, until the wee hour of morning comes
Lulled back into its slippery embrace
As it traps me deeper into it, satisfying its insatiable appetite for mind games
Misguiding me in a maze of misfortune
Getting stuck in haunted covens
Bruised knuckles, bloody feet
Dark mud and defeat.
Little scratches while rushing through
A forest that I helped do !
