Three degrees

freespirit30 1967 (Carthage)

I woke up today and looked at the thermometer is 3 degrees
There is snow and ice on the ground and trees

Keeping my house warm is a challenge
For my heat pump is struggling

My heat goes on again and off again
In rapidly repeating cycles

I keep hoping with the rise of the sun
Warmth will rain down on the earth

Helping my heat pump warm up my home
For the rest of the day and dry off the sodden trees and ground
