Shapes

It’s better to be a circle
Than to be a flat line
It’s better to be imperfect
Than to be fine all the time
It’s better to be you
And travel along your journey
Don’t be hard on yourself caterpillar
You are still learning
You cannot compare your circle to anyone else’s shape
Your circle was tailored to you
Your circle knows your face
Your circle has seen the ugly
But it’s seen the beauty too
In your circle you may feel trapped
But you’ve got the freedom to move
Push your circle like a wheel
Toss it on its side
Throw it onto your shoulder and wear it with pride
Your circle will not leave you
But that is the whole point
There is beauty and darkness in any shape
And you know how to flip your coin
I’ve seen you grow before my eyes
And I know you’re destined for greatness
Your in the thick of it but you have just got to have patience
Embrace your life’s chaotic beauty and I know you will make it
When you have your flash backs and you are feeling diminished
Remember where you started and acknowledge that you are not yet finished
Humble, unstable beginnings that will result in your superior greatness
You are capable coconut head
No matter what your shape is

Wow, I absolutely loved your poem 'Shapes'! It's a fantastic reminder to embrace and love ourselves, imperfections and all. Your use of imagery is very powerful, especially the idea of a circle being unique to each individual and tailored to us. The lines "Don’t be hard on yourself caterpillar/ You are still learning" were particularly inspiring and uplifting.

If I had to provide improvement suggestions, I would say to maybe add some more structure to the poem. While the free verse style is great for expressing emotions, having a consistent structure can help with flow and readability. Additionally, adding some more imagery or metaphors might help to strengthen the central theme of self-love and embracing all aspects of ourselves.

Overall, amazing job! You have a real talent for writing and I'm excited to see what other poems you come up with in the future. Keep writing and exploring different ways to express your unique voice!
