Haunting Valley
There are times when I can't seem to fall asleep and I don't know why
Lying on my bed looking at the city lights hiding the darken sky
Like something is missing in my life, lurking around like a shadow
Feels like an invisble force surronding me, making me hollow
I know something is there but Is it really ? mind is playing tricks on me...
The world can feel like an empty place when you go solo on this journey
To one day show the world I've found that person and tell stories
And build something beautiful that can last a lifetime full of memories
You often hear the expression of it's better to be single then having bad company
I'd rather taste the feeling of pain instead enduring long days of solitary
But I ain't no fool to let anyone into my arms and let them make me feel shame
To the right person, you can drop to your knees by just the mention of their name
Waiting for who knows when to arrive and if that moment will ever come
Just make the best of what I have and see what the man I can become
Keep myself busy from wandering thoughts that lead to nowhere but headaches
Maybe then I'll have something to show that ll spark interest
Trying to control my chatty mind is not an easy thing to say or do
Like endless thoughts of being enough for someone, like some sort of preview
I know I shouldn't never doubt myself and make myself feel less than nothing
As long that I'm still breathing, there's always tomorrow to look forward to something
