The moon

once upon a summer moon

I was looking at that glowing rock

Then I was asked to return inside

But I was not going to do that

 

My mom looked outside

But I was really gone

Trying to escape

But having noware to run

 

I didn’t want to go to bed

So I knew I must escape

I hide behind the bushes

And hoped that I could fake

 

But then my mom looked

Right at the fern

I stood still

Yet I knew it was over

 

Mom walked right at me

Walking as she stared

Saying “bedtime”

And I was already there.
