The wood I put into the fire,
Is quickly turned to ash!
It’s not something to be desired,
Although it gets rehashed.

The words of God will ever last!
Of this you can be sure!
You can’t improve upon them,
Even if you write the score.

Just when I think I’ve seen it all
Or all there is to see;
You’ve got a way to show me
That there’s so much more to see!
