My Own Grave

Here I lay
Cold and not yet decayed
My body speaks in motions
I cannot relay
Abandoned in an empty room
With only a single noose
What was I to do
But simply give in to temptation
I left a letter
To whomever passes by
Well-preserved yet illegible
I only wished to be at peace
But I realized now
That it came with a price
A forever-stained consequence
I've seen enough
Of my own death
Cut me down if you must
These years have shown
A little too much
Here I lay
Alone in this Hell
This noose had somehow tightened
Take my body far away
I cannot stand to stare
At my own grave
That letter I had left
It went unsuspected
Withering into old crevices
Abandoned just the same
Here I lay
Cold and decayed
A noose still around my neck....
