Snake

And their eyes were opened
And they were ashamed
And that’s how we got here
Untamed and blamed

What choice did we have
The snake was too clever
How could we have known
The punishment is forever

We were naked like animals
Roaming free and unaware
Now we’re consumed by ego
Running scared with our err

What we chose to believe
Is that there’s a better life
A world that offers only love
Not this ugliness and strife

So we live out each day
With our hopes in our prayers
Knowing quite well that snake
Is still leading us in errors
