Wicked disposition
Keith Lankford 1964 (AL)
Had a wicked disposition
The woman I knew
A instant recognition
Of my faults, quite a few
She liked to share her feelings
She liked to share her blues
Not into all that Jazz
But I like to play too
The beat fell heavy
On the night so young
Woman played her part
She was so high strung
Strumming her way
To the promised land
Evil in her eye
Guitar in her hand
Taken to the streets
She was walking to the beat
She was shaken her shit
She was looking pretty sweet
Communication station
Tuning in now
Turning it on
She was layin it out
Sounds in her head
Welcome to the dead
Grateful they were
She tripped into bed
She’d sing her song
All night long
If you played with her
You would surely sing along
Come as you may
Come as you might
Come as you would
She was quite a sight
Screaming and a singing
Deep into the night
Long forgotten tunes
Till early morning light
Darkness came quickly
As the sun broke the sky
Slipping into dawning day
Slipping and a slide
Into a dream
Where stars so shined
Seen quite clearly
Through tightly closed eyes
Nights passed quickly
Into days unknown
It was in a distant land
We often roamed
On distant shores
We found our home
Waves washing in
Taking sand from stones
Wicked disposition
My missionary girl
Preaching new religion
As she rolled
As she twirled
Playing a physician
Healing the soul
Opening your eyes
To worlds unknown
