Witches Brew

Keith Lankford 1964 (AL)

Have a seat
So glad to meet
Ill send you flying
On the broomstick you sweep

No your cooken
I don’t want to eat
Witches stew a brewin
Get up off your feet

I’ll see you lying
In the tears you weep
My dog got your cat
The one you now seek

Pieces scattered here and there
Tears running everywhere
Fingers through your long black hair
Don’t you know it’s rude to stare

Don’t cast that look at me, I swear
Your heart is darker then the hat you wear
I know you see that stake over there
Cooken I do, but it is rare

So usher in your new year
Summon it in, out of here
Get on your broom and take a ride
Remember some cats only have eight lives

Halloween night soon arrives
