Pledge of the Oceans
Pledge of the Oceans
I lie surrendered and sprawling;
Awaiting the keen beholder’s envy and earnest calling.
My depths and volume, are brackish and vast;
But I embrace everyone and anyone, without ascertaining, his creed or cast.
The penguins and the sharks live on my bounty and reserves;
Just like this Universe, glows in its resplendent conserves.
My bottom is pure, and my cores are pristine;
And I engulf with readiness, anyone who is, willing, expeditious, or keen.
There are no bounds to my enigma and sheen;
As thousands of breathing species, thrive inside me, with an animated beam.
The algae and the mosses, make up my fleshy reef;
As there is nothing in my book, which alludes to, a somber, grave, or distant grief.
I smile and wrinkle, with a gentle ripple;
As I have boundless energy, poise, and endurance, that does not cripple.
I wave and sway, with the vacillating waves;
With which, I hope and pray, my admirer, plays and craves.
The docile shores shake hands with me;
As the arched skyline meets the earthly terrains, with a comforting glee.
On the beaches, I create, castles of fancy and marvel;
As my fluctuations and frenzy, unleash a fury and energy, similar to, an illuminating sparkle.
My layers are wavering, viscous, and thick;
As I recline and flare, like a burning wick.
I kiss the blue skies, for their compassion and glow;
As I brood and saunter, with a gushing flow.
My summers are eager, and my winters are low;
And I respond to the vast humanity, with a corresponding tempest, or an emoted show.
I trip, and I run, with happiness and agility;
As I am forever immersed in steadiness, fizz, and a scintillating fragility.
My glamour is infectious, and my gait is romantic;
As I believe in dynamism, and am perpetually frantic.
My enthusiasm never falters, stalls, or ankles;
As I am always there for you, lying devoid of, artful rankles.
