Pull of the mountains

Pull of the Mountains

Hazy and blue, are their distant forms;
As the fascinated spectator, discovers their heavenly norms.
The summits are submerged in a juice of glory;
As we appraise and measure, their dazzle, with a concocted story.
There is no bar to their exuding majesty;
As to auction their worth, would amount to a distasteful and demeaning, travesty.
The lonesome trees and the singing birds, nest on their shoulders;
As meek and supple are their gradients and boulders.
The aroma of the mountain soil thrills with a joy;
As the pleasures of elevation are akin to a playful toy.
Their peaks of wonder are cloaked in white snow;
As the wishful sojourners, hope to fly over the valleys, with the air current’s flow.
The valleys and the pinnacles are a source of diversity and pride;
As such decadence and pristine beauty, can never seem to hide.
As the sultry plains burn and swelter;
The lofty mountains, lend succor and shelter.
Numerous are the resorts, that bank on the mountainous charms;
That one cannot possibly ingest or digest their offered alms.
When the azure skyline braces the stupendous heights;
The cold and fresh mountain air, chills and cures, with its stinging bites.
The antics of the apes, and the croaking of the crows, creates an ambience of undisturbed freedom and lethargy;
As these vertically astute abodes dwell in blankets of a casual and languorous, anarchy.
The ills of malady can often harm you;
But the kills of the mountainous parody will surely touch and charm you.
The cascades, emerging from the remote vertical crests, are sparkling pure;
As they decorate the muted mountains, with necklaces of embellishing lure.
When the temple bells clang with a soft melody;
The valleys of hope, resonate with a diffusion of palliative remedy.
The ruddy apples and the succulent plums, sit heavily on the orchard trees;
As the colorful birds and beetles peck on them, with a nonchalant ecstasy, and untampered ease.
The symphony of the heights and the orchestra of the fluid valleys, will enthrall you with a passion;
Only if you open your eyes and ears, with inlets of a welcoming warmth and seeping compassion.
Just as the marvelous hills rise above the sprawling seas;
The hilly forests throng with the multihued, and sprightly bees.
Nectar of the flowers, reinforce the mead of levity, and dimpled crests;
As the keen beholder captures and embraces, this heavenly rendition, and enamoring, visual fests.
As the mountains live a life of seclusion and desolation;
One is compelled to fathom and acknowledge, their crowned presence, with a revered ovation.
