Words

Words are a big part of who we are.
A well spoken vocabulary is a real treasure.
Talking correctly to others is a real pleasure
To enjoy one's company is a friend indeed.

Words form a song, mail  or best of all, a book.
A picture is worth a thousand words they say
But words can hate, hurt,  be a joke, or forsake.
Words should be  solemn when we pray.

Words should not be said in jest
As often times little  kids do.
Once said, it must be addressed
Never to say words out of the blue.

To illustrate what a word can do
Hammer a nail into a piece of wood.
Taking the nail out for all to see
Can forgiving words fill it in to make it whole and good ?

Words can be true and a falsehood,
Be careful little eyes what you see.
But words said should always be good
With friends drinking tea - will that be one sugar or two ?

There are over 100,000 words for us to view
And spelling words right,  this is what you do.
A dictionary and thesaurus to name just two
Plus grammar is a skill for me and you !
