Guilty

Douglas H. Mc Clintock 1934 (Sarnia, Ontario)

Is it  a crime
To be sick and old,
Than I am guilty
As charged.

Is it a crime
My phone seldom rings,
Than I am guilty
As charged.

Is it a crime to pray
A sinner saved by grace,
Than I am guilty
As charged.

Is it a crime to be left alone
A recluse living in the past,
Than I am guilty
As charged.

Is it a crime to be thankful
Of a life with it's ups and downs,
Than I am guilty
As charged.

Is it a crime
To have an earth angel
Than I am guilty
As charged.

Is it a crime
That love always finds it's way to express itself,
Than I am guilty
As charged.

Is it a crime
To be longing  for my Heavenly home,
Than I am guilty
As charged.

Is it a crime
To be so heavenly minded
And no earthly good,
Than I am guilty on all counts as charged !

To day April 17 is the day that almost everybody goes to church !
If they never go to church normally, they are compelled on Easter Sunday- Resurrection Day !!

We have had a little fun today, as for me living in the past creates my memories. I loved weightlifting and cross country cycling most of my life, now I live just a day at a time - the days are long but my memories are longer !
Bravo ! Keep the torch burning ! Get a bike and do 100 miles in one day !
Create milestones in your life and when you are old you will say - how about that ! Good nite.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry here, Doug. It seems to me you're a touch of everything life has had to offer.

Both Mom and Dad have made the transition to the next echelon of being, so I know I am in good hands when my time arrives. Mere moments before Mom passed she told my sister that her sister Sandy was calling her over. This from a woman who was as far from religion as one could dwell. I believe Mom was being summoned by her sister and that there is more to this than skin and bone.

This is a fantastic telling of a man and his journey. Thank you for allowing us in.
