Analysis of Holding My Breath
I feel like the three-legged dog at the park
When I don't have your leash on me
It's a little funny how I need you
So I can know who I should be
When you're gone I'm suffocating
When we talk I know I can breathe
I'm lost in a world that I created
But I don't think I want to leave
Maybe I should light some candles
It's getting darker everyday
And while it hurts to stay inside here
It's even worse when I go away
I don't know what to do anymore
I lose a little bit more each day
Only finding comfort in one part of this
But it doesn't last long anyway
And when I run out of breath down here
There won't be much left I can do
I'm sorry if I'm not strong enough
But I'm trying my best for you
