Analysis of Battle Within Me

Little boy lonely. No, look at the life I've sown.
Little boy lonely. I am not I am grown.
Little boy scared don't run and hide.
There are some to help you if you do not deny.
How do I know or whom do I trust,
of the advice I hear, or a path that I must
take to go here or to be with her?
Sometimes this path seems to be but a blur.
These walls that I build never really come down.
They are shuffled like cards and moved all around.
I can't let them see me the alarm has been tripped.
In a scramble of panic another wall will be slipped
into place to prevent or perhaps delay.
So I may be alone for another day.
Now sit stewing inside my head
thoughts ricochet of feelings dead.
Well maybe not dead but tucked away.
No they're not, you feel them each day.
Why are these feelings so hard to express?
Another relationship winds up in a mess.
Because you refuse to let your past depart,
Remembering each day is a chance for a new start.
But are these those days when I have the strength,
to take on the world or to go the length,
necessary to complete another day?
Or is it a day of weakness I should hide away?
