Words Written

Careful what you write of your feelings known.
Words are immortalized, like chiseled in stone.
They'll come back to haunt you, as our feelings change.
For better or worse, it’s feels so strange.
Why will they taunt us, from within our past.
Did we really mean them? Did we want them to last?
If they were true, then why are they blurred?
These words unspoken, that we seem to slur.
Always forgotten, placed in a box or tin.
These intimate feelings from within.
Why are we so quick to choose?
These simple words we seem to lose.
All these words have meaning at first.
Some we crave just like a thirst.
With just these words at our side.
Can we ever be satisfied?
