Analysis of The Land Of The Gael.
The Land Of The Gael.
A little island on the verge of Europe
A witness to imperial invasion
But the dominant stock is the Gael
Which makes it a glorious nation.
A cultured presence on planet earth
And a lover of liberty who sent many
Of its kin across the earth to defeat
The foe of divinity.
An isle of variable beauty drawing
Folk from throughout the earth as
If all was in need of a visit prior to
The arrival of death...
As a lover of this star of the sea no
Other land is good enough for me. And
As the shamrock symbolises our Trinity
I thank God as I observe the encircling sea.
