Cependant qu'au palais de procès tu devises,
D'avocats, procureurs, présidents, conseillers,
D'ordonnances, d'arrêts, de nouveaux officiers,
De juges corrompus, et de telles surprises :

Nous devisons ici de quelques villes prises,
De nouvelles de banque, et de nouveaux courriers
De nouveaux cardinaux, de mules, d'estafiers,
De chapes, de rochets, de masses et valises :

Et ores, Sibilet, que je t'écris ceci,
Nous parlons de taureaux, et de buffles aussi,
De masques, de banquets, et de telles dépenses :

Demain nous parlerons d'aller aux stations,
De motu-proprio, de réformations,
D'ordonnances, de brefs, de bulles et dispenses.
