Analysis of The man in the corner.

A J C 1958 (Swansea, MA)

The man in the corner.

I was handed a skeleton key to a steel door. Behind it, I saw dark shadows and someone sitting in the corner on the floor. I know he came here a long time ago from the past. So I said, Please, Lord, I don't want to see anymore. But somehow, he finds his way back in. I know it was a sin. For him, I never had a smile or a grin. He offered me lust, greed, and anything I needed. Then, in the blink of an eye, this man came by, slammed the door shut, and took me by the hand. We went for a walk and talked. He opened my eyes and set me free. Now my eyes are open, and I can see.
