Analysis of Morning Comes Early
Sean Taylor 1968 (Georgia)
(To Dennis, January 15, 1987)
the match strikes
lights the candle
the candle burns
faintly at first
then growing brighter
soon burning strong
not too much light
or too much heat
but just right
light and warmth
fill the room
with happiness
morning comes early
much too soon
and the candle
is
snuffed
out…
