Analysis of Shadows in My Mind

There is a kind of shadow in
My mind that tries to block
The light of Jesus deep within.
What happened to the flock?

The flock and I were grazing when
The cloud began to form.
It seemed to darken in the glen
Preparing for a storm.

My mind could not determine if
I was the only one
Whose hope was falling off a cliff
Where shadows blocked the Son.

I looked and looked for Light above
Until the Son broke through
And warmed my soul with heaven's love.
It's what He said he'd do!
