Oh How I Changed

Steve Cochrane 1955 (Cape)

For years I followed any crowd
That gathered anywhere.
And every time I was allowed
To join them as a spare.

I used to walk each lonely trail,
Not knowing where it went.
Afraid of judgement if I failed
In times that weren't well spent

But then one day I came upon
A path I'd seen before.
A path that seemed worth walking on.
A way that offered more.

Why did it now call out to me?
I had to go this way
To find all that there was to see.
Oh how I changed that day!
