I knew it was over when there was nothing left from my childish fears,
I stepped into darkness and didn't fear what would eat me;
I prayed something would tear me apart so I wouldn't have to do it myself.

About this poem
I wrote it when I walked around in my house at night and noticed that in that moment I didn't fear darkness and the "monsters" that I sometimes feel watching me, because I was distracted by myself wanting to die anyway.
