Analysis of My Mother’s House
My mothers house, I never left
I have to now, I am bereft.
Betrayal runs deep
I feel it in my sleep.
With my heart pounding,
I find it astounding—
You should’ve given me away
Instead of letting me stay.
I live in a dream, an allusion
And now that is my conclusion.
My eyes are quite clear—
I see you in a mirror.
Regret is too high of a price.
Move on is good advice.
Now I think I can take a breath.
Treating you like death.
