Analysis of I Granada, gjennem Byen
Hans Christian Andersen 1805 (Odense) – 1875 (Copenhagen)
I Granada, gjennem Byen,
Sorgfuld drager Maurerkongen;
Fra Elviras Port han rider
Hen til Porten Bivarrambla.
Vee mig, mit Alhama.
Breve vare komne til ham,
At han havde tabt Alhama;
Brevene han smed til Jorden,
Den, som bragte dem, han dræbte.
Vee mig, mit Alhama!
Og han steg ned af sit Muuldyr,
Satte sig paa Hesten, red saa
Til Alhambra, lod der skingre
Sølvtrompet og Kjedeltromme.
Vee mig, mit Alhama!"
„Kun din Ret skeer Dig, o Konge!
Du fortjente værre Skjæbne."
„Som Du Alhama har mistet,
Miste skal Du snart dit Rige!
Vee mig, mit Alhama!"
