Analysis of Hidden Unity

How do I explain
The untold connectivity
When not too many people
Delve into the depths
Of being,
And grasp
The intangible threads
That weave us into
A tapestry of existence?

Can they see
The shimmering essence
Within
That transcends
The limits of form,
Uniting us
Under cosmic hues?
Yet their eyes,
Clouded by tears,
Fail to perceive
The light that dances,
Hoping to disperse
The shadows of division.

So I retreat to my solitude,
Wrapping myself in the beauty
That surrounds me,
Unseen,
Untouched.
In this clandestine realm,
Where silence speaks
Louder than words,
I find solace
In the harmony
Of existence,
Holding tight to the notion
That we are all one,
Despite the veiled
Understanding.

Joe Strickland

I'm just a regular, blue collar, working stiff who took an interest in writing poetry many years ago but until recently I haven't had a desire to share any with anyone or pursue publication. I'm an unpublished fork lift operator by night, and a day drinker by choice. I can be followed on Twitter @JoeStricklandSC more…
