Analysis of Find meaning

Valiantstar 1961 (Sydney)

I notice that writers have a trick,
Their words can have two meanings.

The same lines can reveal
Which way you are leaning.

Some it may curse
Others bless.

Sometimes leave you
Confused and distressed.

"Was that a swipe or a wave?"
He'll never confess.

Now I don't think this poet
Has the power to pick.

Words cut the mustard
And meat to the quick.

Magic is in the readers eye
By interpretation
We live,
Or die.
