Analysis of Faithful King
Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)
Just another test; just another chance
To tell you how much I love you
O Lord my God; O Jesus Christ
There is no one above you
The birds can sing and the angels can fly
To the heavens and then surpass them
But here on earth my soul can rejoice
And my praises will go right past them
Into the ears of a loving God
Who knows no corruption or hate
Though now I know as His bride to be
I still will have to wait
But the day is coming soon my friend
When His judgment will then fall
That day will never trouble me
Because He is my all in all
With thankful hearts and grateful souls
Our praises will still ascend
To the One we know as a Faithful King
And call the Great I Am
