Analysis of Frostbite
On a dreary weekend morning
I got into the car
We picked up my friend Eli
Since Greenlake was quite far
The tension was a building
Morale falling like the rain
Dad’s silence indicated
That this early was a pain
And too soon the race appeared
Wind starting to arise
Warm-up to the starting line,
But alas our slow demise
A fishing rod was tied to an oar
Still new with plastic wrap
We gave it to the officials for
5 minutes until our racing lap
Our race was quite short,
And demolished them we did,
But I stopped the boat,
When we were but three quarters in
Once the other boat went by,
We picked it up quite fast
And won the race by .33 (seconds)
Our race was quite a blast!!
