Analysis of Cyanide Obsession

Do you know what it's like
To live with a self-made obsession?
One drop of this cyanide,
And I've spiraled into a depression.

I drank too much.
Now I've blacked out.
Thinking I could end my life.
But as I woke
From this dead sleep,
It's like time never ceased in its actions.

I have become a masochist
In my own right.

I drank, drank so much,
This obsession has taken control.
It is but second nature.
I cannot get enough.

Do you know what it's like
To live this story called my life?
This cyanide crawling beneath my skin.
It's suffocating.
Stealing air from within my lungs.
But it's enticing all the same.

If only you knew.
If only I could put this into better words.
How this obsession with cyanide,
Came to be a part of me....
