Analysis of Rain Clouds
Wesley P. Newman 2005 (Mt. Vernon)
Wake to a dreary day
Why so dreary?
No reason
Get ready
Walk out the door
Though the sun might be shining brightly,
Its warmth is not felt
Though the birds might be chirping a happy tune,
Their sweet music fall upon deaf ears
Though the sky might be the most beautiful shade of blue imaginable,
Without a speck of white in sight,
Clothes are still soaked by the rain clouds above
Sit alone in a full room
Walk alone through crowded halls
All alone in the middle of hundreds
The only company to be had
Are the rain clouds overhead
Said yesterday, the rain clouds will go away
Said today, the rain clouds are here to stay
Said tomorrow, why isn't there change?
Said the day after, I'm stuck on the same page
A week, a month, a year
It feels like an eternity
Like time itself has stopped being perceived by the mind
So long in the dark,
Soaked and cold
Now with that said
There is nothing more to be told.
