Analysis of The Well
Hard ground at the bottom
Bottom of a well of pain
Everyone always asking me
How do I keep sane
I breathe one breath at a time
Take one step after another
Focus on my babies
Less on how they were robbed of their brother
I see his smile and hear his giggles
Live for hours in happy moments and days
Sometimes waking from a nightmare
Trying to find my way through this life maze
Hard ground at the bottom
Bottom of a well of pain
Tired of attempted climbing
Resulting in dried tears and blood stain

About this poem
I am a mother of 5 children. I lost 3 and still have 2 earthside. My 3rd Angel was a TRUE Angel at 5 months and passed away from SIDS. As a grieving parent this is how I feel.
