Analysis of Christian Practices
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
I entreat to agree in the Lord,
To long as being your dearest;
Show that He is loved and adored,
Your heart and mind as sincerest.
Be in the same mind as the Lord,
Stand fast being your crown and joy;
So we can be in one accord,
In the living that we deploy.
I ask you to those who labor,
For teaching them of the Gospel;
Showing to neighbor to neighbor,
Inviting them to the temple.
Add their names to the book of life,
When they take Christ as their Savior;
Comfort them through apparent strife,
God will look on you with favor.
Rejoice upon the Lord always,
Let your moderation be known;
The Lord is nigh in coming days,
For laying down the cornerstone.
Be not anxious on anything,
But in everything say in prayer;
Supplication with thanksgiving,
Be made known unto God to share.
The peace of God which will exceed,
To all of your understanding;
To help your heart and mind succeed,
In spiritual comprehending.
Whatever is honorable,
As well as being just and pure;
To God is commendable,
Worthy of praise unto the core.
Behoove about all of these things,
What you have learned and have received;
And practicing for what it brings,
The God of peace you have believed.
