Mfundi The Poet is a talented poet who was born in Gauteng but grew up in Mfuleni, one of Cape Town's townships in South Africa. Currently, he is a student at Stellenbosch University. His passion for poetry stems from his love for performance and drama. Mfundi has achieved recognition as a published poet, with some of his poems being featured in an AVBOB online poetry competition publication. Additionally, Mfundi is part of a poetry anthology called "AMAZW' EEMBONGI". His skill and dedication to slam poetry led him to win first place in the "Day of Solidarity" theme for the Palestine movement at Stellenbosch University. He also achieved a notable third position in the Jobela Event's Innovative Poetry Competition Slam, which took place at the Artscape Theatre. What sets him apart as a poet is his ability to explore a wide range of topics without boundaries, including sentimental subjects and poetry for business and leadership movements. Notably, he has written poems for organizations such as the Centre for Student Leadership Experiential Education and Citizenship, EcoMaties, LeeConnect, and Co-create Hub.
