Kaylee.

Sulfur 2002 (london)

Her skin was warm when mine was cold,
Her hands intertwined with mine.
My face glowed silver, i wished it were gold,
I shut my eyes and wished for more.
But you bite your lip, I bit my tongue,
The laughs we shared had sprung our love.
You get me like no one else. Yet you shove.
You shove me away. I understand that now.
Your words cut deep, sharp as a sword,
Leaving wounds in my heart, but ignored.
You jerk the knife inside my chest.
Still, I yearn for your touch, your love.
The pain you bring, I can't erase.
Without you, I am just a waste.
For in your eyes, I see a flicker,
Of a love that once burned brighter and thicker.
Brighter than this. Whatever ‘this’ is.
