A Little Tightening Around he Eye.

Robert loughran 1962 (Ireland)

You asked about my day.
You felts it unproductive.
Now this is what i felt,
but perhaps I'm being reductive.

I detect a certain disapproval,
a slight pushing to comply.
 A sudden stiff annoyance ,
a little tightening around the eye.

Do you like your say
on how i spend my day.
Or what i should be planning.
Do you know a better way.

Do you like the details ,
how much and when and who.
or make a list of things to do
or am i simply just frustrating.

I know i do the same in different arenas
thinking i know best.
I take the high moral ground ,
put others to the test.
I'm sure that on my face
there's arrogance and all the rest.

So the lesson for myself,
or anyone who cares to listen.
Is that every star in the sky
has its own way to glisten.

That love is simply acceptance
To love each as they are.
Its not bloody easy
but that's how high love sets the bar.
