My Prayer

Albert Browning 1943 (Puritan Mines, WV)

Oh Lord my God I come to you with many burdens, not just a few.
My life you know is such a mess, it's full of sorrow, sin and stress.
Forgiveness I ask for today and make these burdens please go away.

For my past sins I'll have to pay but help me Lord to change my ways.
Your love and grace is in my reach so many blessings oh so sweet.
My heart and soul is yours today just shine your light to show the way.

I'll strive each day thru work and play to help my friends along their way.
While traveling down this road of life I'll help mankind your light to shine.
And then someday when my life is through, please take me home to be with you.
