Another Sunday Morning

Albert Browning 1943 (Puritan Mines, WV)

It's another Sunday morning and I'm still in bed
Lying wide awake at noon oh my aching head
Working every day and drinking all night long
Trying to relieve the pain when I realize that you're gone.

It's every Sunday morning no work and out of beer
So I'll just lie here wide awake and cry a few more tears
You said you didn't love me and it's been almost a year
That you walked out saying that you no longer care.

You said another's turned you head and walked into your life.
Last night you called to tell me that you're gonna be his wife
I've got to stop this drinking and laying out all night
And find a way to clear my head and get on with my life

It's another Sunday morning and I'm still in bed
Trying to relieve the pain feeling almost dead.
It's another Sundy Morning and I'm still in bed
