ME

Tonya R. Garner 1976 (Texas)

Not knowing who I truly am ,
Wondering who I've become today .
Loving the person that I once was ,
And who I am now , I hate .
I cannot blame anyone else.
For I caused my own demise .
I'm spinning completely out of control ,
Can't anyone hear my cries?
I feel as though I'm completely lost,
And I'm as low as I can get .
But my head screams out in furtive protest,
"Please don't give up yet !" .
I am my own worst enemy,
Living in my self-made hell.
Funny how I can remember looking over the edge ,
But I'm not sure when I fell .
