A Practical Joke
Benson Chukwueke 1971 (Owerri)
He hasn't grown any business worth a penny
But sat on the podium teaching many
How to gain financial freedom
At this neophyte investors forum
Dressed as a millionaire
But has no experience to bring to bear
His voice sounded so hypothetical
With a couple of mumble jumble
He threw some nuggets of wisdom
Painted a picture of holy grail, heavenly kingdom
Where you can travel around the world in luxury and riches
Spending exciting time in popular beaches
So his gullible audience sat at ease
Saying sir, we long for this lease of life please
But he was only a motivational speaker
Trained as a classroom teacher
Who has nothing more to offer than textbook definitions
And crammed financial theories as solutions
But in practical terms, he was a joke
Cos he's so broke
About this poem
Quite amusing to watch the double vision of some of these organizers of financial freedom seminars. Claiming to be millionaires but are so broke... They are "speech robbers" and common thieves. More amusing how their gullible audience fall for the same trick again and again.
