Alzheimer
Take my hand momma and hold it as long as you can
I'll still be that little momma's boy even though I'm a grown man
Look at the memories of how young I use to be
Hold onto my hand momma before you forget those memories
As you smile and your memory begins to fade
I'll still be holding your hand momma and I'll be the one remembering those memories we have made
Walk with me momma before you are not able to walk no more
Open your hand and walk with me through these memories that we had made before
You'll smile will turn to just a regular look as the day comes to an end
Asking the same ole questions of the memories of only when
That precious mind of yours momma will begin to fade away
But I'll still be right there reminding you of just yesterday
So let's talk momma about anything and everything that comes to mind
Let's talk about even the stupid stuff and I'll tell you everything is going to be just fine
As I ask you momma do you remember the memories
You begin to smile once again but you wouldn't remember me
I'm here momma even though your memory is fading away
I'll show you everyday those memories that didn't stay
So hold my hand momma and I'll remind you of my name
Cause for now momma all you have of me momma is a picture in a picture frame...
