Pretty Little Fears

I wish I could say it took you a while before I let you get close to me, but that'd be a lie.
You came out of nowhere one day and I haven't wanted you out of my sight since.
You said everything, perfectly, in your voice, whispering a language that was unfamiliar to my soul,
but as if instantly, I still fell in love just as fast.
It was supposed to be you.
You promised...
You gave me a painting board, told my mind to look at the masterpiece of how it could be,
then didn't even wait for the paint to dry before tearing through the canvas,
Deconstruction here. watch your step, she's going down,
down as I fell off the ledge,
backwards as you dared me,
to fall into what was supposed to be your arms,
....now just a thousand little pieces.
Written in the sand,
is where you should've left us,
not promising the stars when
you're afraid of heights.
Do you trust me?
Yes.
JUMP!
....he promises once again.
