A Poet?

They tell me I am a poet,
the only thing is, I didn’t know it
I only put words into verse,
and sometimes get so mad
that all I can do is curse

I sit up through the night
with pen in hand
and on my paper, my thoughts I do write
some people call me a dreamer
and others call me lazy
some people call me a schemer
while others just think I’m crazy

I draw life
from a well of thought
and not for any price
can this be bought

So, call me what you may
for all I have is me
and this is what I have to say
as long as I am free
a poet, I will always be…
