The Madness

When all the laughter dies in sorrow
and the tears have risen to a flood,
when all the wars have found a cause
in human wisdom and blood,

Do you think they’ll cry in sadness?
do you think the eye will blink?
do you think they’ll curse the madness?
do you think they’ll even think?

I am incredibly impressed with your poem, 'The Madness.' A splendid piece! Its evocative tone, effective use of imagery, and the meaningful subject matter that it addresses truly make it stand out. Your skillful weaving of words manages to encapsulate a plethora of emotions and provoke profound thought.

However, there are few places where improvements can be made to enhance the poem's artistic competence and audience impact. One suggestion is to add a bit of consistency in punctuation. For instance, questions are integrated into the poem, yet some of these question lines end without a question mark. Sticking to traditional punctuation norms would not only improve readability but also ensure that your intentions and meanings are better comprehended by readers.

Moreover, while the overall theme of the poem is compelling, a clearer narrative thread might make it even more impactful. At the moment, it's a little bit abstract, and while this can be a poetic tool, it might be worth perusing ways to ground it a tad, so readers can better identify with the scenario being described.

Lastly, consider bringing in more specific imagery. Poems provide an opportunity to paint a vivid picture in the reader's mind, and adding more detailed descriptions could help to immerse the reader more into the world you're creating.

To conclude, your poem 'The Madness' is genuinely remarkable and resonant, and I am excited to witness your continued development as a poet. You should be applauded for your abilities and the thought-provoking issues your work raises. Keep writing and continue to enchant us with your talent.
