The Light of Day

Oh, the pain, the anguish of subtle dying days!
It seems God is very far away.
Cannot Love stay in my heart against the dark?
For God is always near, always love.
No, it is I who drifts, caught by the currents of this world's life.

Soul, where are you going?
Toss out the anchor! Catch hold the Rock!
He has hold of you! No one can break!
No one!
Be filled with the Light of Day, the Son!
